πŸ’Ό Position Overview: Bookkeeper

Work Opportunity In New York IMSMP is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Bookkeeper to join our financial operations team.
This role is ideal for someone with strong QuickBooks experience, solid accounting knowledge, and a passion for maintaining accurate financial records.

As part of our finance department, you will play a key role in daily accounting functions, monthly closings, financial audits, and general ledger management across multiple entities.

This is a full-time, on-site position β€” perfect for candidates who thrive in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.


🧾 Key Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable and maintain vendor files, invoices, and purchasing documentation

Record all donations, grants, and other sources of income accurately

Process EFTs, ACHs, and check payments promptly in QuickBooks

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger across multiple accounts

Perform monthly bank reconciliations and journal entries

Handle intercompany transactions between affiliated organizations

Support the COO during month-end closings and audit preparations

File annual 1099 forms for vendors and contractors

Collaborate with the Development Director to ensure accurate contribution tracking

Provide administrative and financial support to management as needed

Minimum 4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience

Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
